Finish the sentence- I cannot live with out…
my family and my dogs. They mean the world to me, and I know I will always have a place to run to whenever I need support.
What is one memory that you will remember forever about your time at ECC?
One memory I will remember forever from my time at ECC is when our team placed 4th at the D2 Summit. The excitement we all felt in that moment was unforgettable. It gave our team a huge sense of pride and set the bar for our program by showing that we could achieve our goal of placing high at the D2 Summit.
What will you miss the most about ECC?
What I will miss most about ECC is the sense of family it gave me. The gym truly felt like a second home; there were happy moments and challenging ones, but it was always a place where I felt supported. My teammates and coaches have watched me grow, succeed, and face setbacks, and they always pushed me to reach my full potential and never give up. I’ll miss the silly corrective coaching comments that will stick with me forever (“Quit picking your wedgie… we can still see you in the back!”) and the teammates who could always make me laugh with their added sidebar commentary… IYKYK!
What is the strangest advice your parents ever gave you that proved to be correct?
One of the strangest pieces of advice my parents gave me was to always keep an extra $20 bill in my wallet for emergencies. At the time it seemed unnecessary, but one day my card didn’t work and that $20 was the only way I could make my purchase. Turns out they were right.
What advice do you have for the younger athletes in our program?
My advice for younger athletes in our program is to never give up when things get hard. There will be tough practices and moments when you feel like you can’t do it, but keep pushing through. Hard work always pays off, and if you believe in yourself and stay dedicated, you will get there. I promise, you’ve got this!
