COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

What should an athlete do when they test positive (or is suspected of having) for COVID-19 and had symptoms? Please notify Sara and Lauren ASAP after a positive test result or onset of symptoms so we can conduct contract tracing and ensure that no one else in the gym has been exposed. The athlete should stay home and away from others until the following criteria have been met:

  • 10 days since symptoms first appeared AND
  • 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications AND
  • Symptoms continue to improve

What should an athlete do when they have tested positive for COVID-19 but has no symptoms? Please notify Sara and Lauren ASAP after a positive result so we can conduct contract tracing and ensure that no one else in the gym has been exposed. If an athletes continues to remain symptom-free they can return to the gym after 10 days have passed since you had a positive test result.

What should an athlete do when they have been around a person with COVID-19? An athlete who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19 should stay home for 14 days after their last exposure to that person. However, an athlete who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19 can return to the gym if they meet the following criteria:

  • Remains without COVID-19 symptoms for 10 days (for example, cough, shortness of breath)
  • Has a negative test result after at least 5 days since their last exposure to that person

What are we doing to maintain a safe environment? - Temperature Checks: We are taking each athlete’s and staff member’s temperature daily, prior to them entering the facility. - Hand Washing: Each athlete and staff member will be required to wash hands before and after each class. - Face Coverings: We ask that all athletes wear a mask upon exiting their car, during temperature check and had washing. Athletes can remove mask in a designated area before stretching begins. Staff members will wear a mask at all times. - Social Distancing:  We have modified class structure and size to allow at least six feet of space between each athlete. The lobby and water fountain will remain closed. - Cleaning:  We are cleaning mats and equipment after each class. We have also increased the frequency of cleaning of high traffic areas such as bathrooms and door knobs. -Stay Home When Ill:  We require that all athletes and staff members to monitor their health and stay home if they get sick. -Lobby Closed: Our lobby is closed to reduce the number of people within the building. We will reopen the lobby once it is safe to do so.
