COVID-19 Policies

What are we doing to maintain a safe environment? 

Hand Washing: Each athlete and staff member will be required to wash hands before and after each class. 

Face Coverings 

  • Masks are optional for recreational tumbling classes 
  • Masks are optional during Little Explorers classes. 
  • Masks are optional during all star team tumbling practices. 
  • Masks are required during all star team routine practices.  

Social Distancing:  We have modified class structure and size to allow at least six feet of space between each athlete. The lobby and water fountain will remain closed.

Cleaning:  We are cleaning mats and equipment after each class. We have also increased the frequency of cleaning of high traffic areas such as bathrooms and door knobs. 

Lobby/Viewing Area 

The lobby is open on a rotating viewing schedule for recreational tumbling and Little Explorers classes. 

The lobby is open for private lessons and mini classes. 

The lobby is closed for all star team practices. 

We have the following procedures in place for our lobby: 

  • Only ONE adult per child will be allowed to enter the lobby area.
  • Any siblings that are in the lobby must be supervised and remain in lobby chairs. 
  • Parents will be allowed enter the lobby area once participants have finished hand washing and have entered the gym. Parents will exit the lobby area prior to participants beginning hand washing at the end of class and wait outside for them to come out. 
  • Parents will need to sit in the designated chairs and will not be allowed to move them to a different spot in the lobby. We will try our best to arrange the chairs spaced out so that everyone can see. 
  • Parents and any school-aged siblings will need to wear a mask while inside the lobby area. 
  • No food and drink in the lobby area, with the exception of water. 

What should an athlete do when they test positive (or is suspected of having) for COVID-19 and had symptoms? 
Please notify Sara and Lauren ASAP after a positive test result or onset of symptoms so we can conduct contract tracing and ensure that no one else in the gym has been exposed. The athlete should stay home and away from others until the following criteria have been met: 

  • 10 days since symptoms first appeared AND 
  • 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications AND 
  • Symptoms continue to improve 

What should an athlete do when they have tested positive for COVID-19 but has no symptoms? 
Please notify Sara and Lauren ASAP after a positive result so we can conduct contract tracing and ensure that no one else in the gym has been exposed. If an athlete continues to remain symptom-free they can return to the gym after 10 days have passed since you had a positive test result. 

What should an athlete do when they have been around a person with COVID-19? 
An athlete who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19 should stay home for 14 days after their last exposure to that person. However, an athlete who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19 can return to the gym if they meet the following criteria: 

  • Remains without COVID-19 symptoms for 10 days (for example, cough, shortness of breath) 
  • Has a negative test result after at least 5 days since their last exposure to that person


Tuition and Registration
 An annual registration fee of $25 is due at the time of enrollment and is renewed annually during our school year registration in August. Upon paying your child’s registration and first month’s tuition you become a member of Elevation Cheer Co.’s school year program. This program is ongoing beginning August 19, 2021 and ending May 25, 2022.

You may enroll at any time, space permitting, and withdraw with 30 day withdrawal notice via email. If you fail to notify the gym of your withdrawal, your account will continued to be billed until a withdrawal notice has been received, as we are holding a spot for your child. Athletes that do not properly withdraw from a class will be responsible for any outstanding tuition and a $25 withdrawal fee. Tuitions paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Tuition for the 2021-2022 school year classes will be paid in two month sessions with the exception of the month of enrollment (August) and the last month of the session (May). May tuition will include a performance and a t-shirt so the amounts will be as follows: Little Explorers $75, level 1A/1B $80 level 2 $85 and level 3/4/5 $90.   Bi-monthly tuition is the same each session regardless of holiday/gym closures or “fifth” days. In person makeup classes and tuition refunds/credits will not be issued due to classes missed.

Session payments may be paid by credit card, debit card, cash, or check at the desk or on our online customer portal. These payments are due by your child’s first class each session to avoid a $15 late fee. If your child is absent the first week of the session you may submit payment via our online customer portal. If session tuition is not received by your child’s second class, your child will be removed from the class roster and another participant on the waiting list may fill their spot. You will be responsible for the withdrawal fee of $25 for this session and will need to notify ECC via email to prevent further billing.  Elevation Cheer Co. does offer automatic draft as a form of payment if you are interested.

In the case of inclement weather, Elevation Cheer Co. will attempt to operate under the Rowan-Salisbury Schools closure system, however the final decision for closure will be made at the discretion of Elevation Cheer Co.  For information on closures refer to our Facebook page and email. If the gym is closed for inclement weather a makeup class will not be offered.

Any auto draft that is declined or check that is returned is subject to a $25 service charge from Elevation Cheer Co. Two declined drafts or returned checks will result in loss of membership. 

Registration fees, tuition, birthday party deposits and summer fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If owners or office personnel feel there are unique circumstances, we will discuss with you the best way to resolve the situation. 

Elevation Cheer Co. does offer a sibling discount of $20 per child per session, after the first child. Failure to pay monthly tuition promptly will result in loss of sibling discount.

Gym closure due to staff travel: May 4 & 9 2022  (Makeup Wednesday, May 11th & Monday, May 16th)
 *Gym closure may vary due to staff travel for competitions. Notifications will be given via email in the case of a closure.

Trial Classes
Elevation Cheer Co. does offer trial classes. Your child may attend one trial class, space permitting, per school year. You can schedule your trial class using the online customer portal. If your child decides to become a member of the program, enrolling in a class, clinic, or camp, the trial class will be included in your tuition rate. However, if you child decides not to enroll in the program, the trial class is free. If you wish to enroll in the class, please update your enrollment using the online customer portal within 48 hours to secure your child’s spot in the class.

Observation Area
There will be an observation schedule that we will follow for the 2021-2022 school year schedule. Viewing weeks will be assigned to each class and will be the same from month to month regardless of closures or holidays. The observation area is available for you to view your child on your assigned week. Please refrain from “coaching” or distracting your athlete during their class. Parents and spectators must remain seated in the viewing area, so that the view of others is not blocked. The gym is only open to coaches and athletes UNLESS you are attending a Parent & Tot class with your child. There will be no food allowed in the observation area. **See COVID-19 Policies below**

Please note that class instructors may vary without prior notification, due to scheduling conflicts, illness, etc.
